Linda Mackey Insurance is a full service benefit insurance agency. We have clients in many different fields of business, but we find that we have two specific areas where we have a higher concentration of clients. Both of these areas are highly specialized and are very unique to any other businesses. The two areas we seem to attract most are clients in the medical field and those businesses who contract out to the military.

MILITARY CONTRACTS

The majority of employees we have covered work for the military through contracts. This is a very specialized field because the contracts HAVE to transfer seamlessly. Because many of these contracts involve at least some people who are located overseas, we work closely with International Insurance Companies. These companies offer medical, life and disability insurance, as well as repatriation and evacuation.

We find that it's also very important to offer products that are good all over the United States. Most insurance companies offer plans that are localized, or that only offer PPO choices in all areas. Our clients prefer the POS plans that keep the rates down and allow the same plans to be available to all their employees. Of course disability and life insurance is important to all employees, as is dental and vision. What many companies are missing when they come to us, is extra coverage for their Tri Care employees. In the state of Georgia 11.6% of the work force is retired military, on Tri Care and eligible for this supplement. It only makes sense and usually saves both the employee and the client company money when we offer it.

Our level of service is unmatched!! The best companies, and the best coverage are only part of the equation. We can go to most of the locations of new contracts to help introduce the employees to the benefits, or we can call or e mail them. We analyze the choices that are made by the employees, and watch closely for significant variations. Our expertise is always available and offered on an individual basis. Many employees contact us directly with their needs which we can handle right from the start. This is a huge help for the company and their employees!!

Most of our groups fall into the medical field. We find medical practitioners are looking for excellent coverage for themselves and their employees, but their situations are usually different from other small businesses. Often their employees are covered through spousal benefits which leaves the doctor without group coverage. Many doctor offices grow into needing group benefits at some point. We offer many options for these growing and thriving small businesses. In order to hire highly skilled employees, they need to be able to offer immediate benefits that will encourage new employees to hire on.

DISABILITY

Although we offer disability to all our clients, the medical field has industry specific products available, and we work with the companies that provide the very best plans.
Not just any disability plan will work for the medical field! There are highly specialized disability products. Anything short of these disability plans will likely not be enough in the event of a disability. Other specific plans that are important are business overhead expense policies and key man policies. These are important to all small businesses, but are critical for the medical profession.
